Role Overview

Collins Aerospace is hiring an Engineering Co-Op for Manufacturing Operations (MFG-Ops) in Melbourne, Florida. You will work alongside experienced Manufacturing and Test Engineers to support production of new and existing Collins Aerospace products.

You will gain hands-on experience in manufacturing engineering, production testing, test equipment reliability, data analysis, troubleshooting, and process improvement, contributing to projects that affect manufacturing performance.

What You Will Do

• Develop and automate data-collection tools, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve test processes and outcomes.
• Analyze and enhance test equipment performance, reliability, and efficiency while reducing downtime and costs.
• Support capacity planning, ROI analysis, and test approach evaluation to optimize staffing, production, and capital investments.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting, training, and resolving production issues, including Manufacturing Flow Inhibitors (MFIs).
• Work with Design Engineering on component obsolescence, test documentation, and configuration and change processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with parametric process control and its implementation.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing principles, particularly in electronics manufacturing.
• Demonstrated ability to identify, evaluate, and mitigate technical and operational risks.
