RTX Hiring Manufacturing Project Specialist Intern

This position will be responsible for all portions of the Cedar Rapids Service Center's CRG (Customer Return Goods) operations and processes. The position oversees and coordinates daily project schedules, communications, shop floor management, BU workforce priorities, flow disruption, maintenance requests and overall OTD (On Time Delivery) performance. This role will work closely with floor Supervisors and Project Managers on priorities, metrics and responsibilities.

What You Will Do

• Track progress and identify/resolve obstacles to minimize disruption to the Customer Returned Goods (CRGs) on time delivery schedule.
• Coordinate Service Center daily material shortages.
• Coordinate Factory and Service Center GS and DCMA On Time Deliveries.
• Identify and address product flow problems and recommend resolutions to ensure successful efficiencies are incorporated.
• Assess issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Maintain and update Service Center CRG Monthly Metrics.
• Assist in financial analysis of transfer rates, direct expenses rates, and purchasing.
• Create and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones.
• Identify potential risks, find solutions, and resolve issues or delays.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Project Management, Operations, Business, or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Experience in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other productivity tools.
• Experience delivering presentations using data visualization tools to communicate production metrics or project updates to cross-functional teams or leadership.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience in operations/productions settings.

Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
