Overview

Build community, explore your passions, and do your best work at Microsoft alongside University interns from around the world. This opportunity lets you bring your aspirations, talent, and excitement for the road ahead.

As a Software Engineering Intern focused on AI/ML and LLMs, you will help build AI-powered products and platforms that use machine learning, large language models, and intelligent services. You will work alongside engineers, researchers, signers, and linguistic experts on a technical project matched to your interests, experience, and the team's priorities. You may contribute to model integration, retrieval systems, inference services, evaluation frameworks, or the infrastructure that supports AI applications at scale.

Interns at Microsoft work on real-world projects with teams across the world. You will have the chance to bring your ideas to life while working on cutting-edge technology.

The team is building the data, tools, and models that help technology understand sign language and turn those capabilities into useful experiences. The work covers capturing high-quality signing data, training and evaluating models, and integrating them into products.

This is a 2027 summer internship.
