McKesson Medical-Surgical (MMS), which is expected to become Wellverse in early 2027, is a subsidiary and publicly reported segment of McKesson Corporation. MMS distributes medical-surgical supplies, pharmaceuticals, diagnostic equipment and supplies, and other solutions to healthcare settings outside the traditional hospital, including physician offices, surgery centers, long-term care providers, laboratories, home health and hospice agencies, health systems, government facilities, and online marketplaces and retailers.

Program Overview

The McKesson Intern program runs 10 weeks and is based in Richmond, Virginia. It is designed to provide:

Specific requirements vary by role. The general requirements are:

• Enrolled as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at the time of the internship
• At least 18 years of age
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Major in a technical, business, technology, or analytics discipline
• Strong communication, writing, and team collaboration skills
• Ability to manage priorities effectively
• Ability to analyze and aggregate data

Inside Sales

The Inside Sales Intern(s) will engage and prospect decision-makers to reestablish dormant relationships and drive key sales initiatives. This is a strong opportunity for rising seniors to learn about the healthcare industry, learn about products, and engage with customers.

• Research prospective clients
• Run customer contact campaigns focused on targeted initiatives and reactivating dormant accounts
• Partner with inside sales reps and the manager on special projects
• Work in Salesforce.com and execute marketing and sales campaigns
• Learn the basic competencies of a medical sales representative and support the sales process
