Mastercard's internship program offers more than hands-on work. It gives you the chance to build skills, grow your network, and make a real impact on projects that support business priorities.
The Platform Architecture team designs platform architectures and creates detailed Visio diagrams for complex applications and infrastructure. The team works closely with development, infrastructure, networking, security, and operations groups to make sure applications run on scalable, resilient, and highly available platforms.
A major focus is the Decision Management Program (DMP), a critical part of Mastercard's payment ecosystem. DMP has a large infrastructure footprint across Mastercard's in-house data centers and relies heavily on bare metal server environments. The team helps design, modernize, and manage these platforms, which handle high-volume, mission-critical payment processing.
The team includes members in the U.S. and Pune, India, with architects at every stage of their careers. This makes it a strong environment for mentorship, knowledge sharing, and professional development.
If you want to learn, explore complex technologies, and work on systems that power global payments, this role is a good fit.
This role is not eligible for Mastercard's work authorization sponsorship. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States now and in the future without employer sponsorship. For example, students or recent graduates on an F1 visa (including those with CPT or OPT authorization) are not eligible.
Many interns continue their careers with Mastercard through full-time opportunities, early career programs, or future internships.
