RF Engineering Intern

Lockheed Martin is looking for an RF engineering summer intern at its campus in Andover, Massachusetts. The role combines advanced design work with hands-on electronics laboratory testing and product development. You will work alongside some of the company's leading RF and microwave design professionals.

Interns perform assignments in technical and engineering organizations, such as Electronics Engineering, during vacations and short breaks from college while enrolled in an accredited degree program.

Basic Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a closely related technical field.
• Academic experience or knowledge of RF/microwave test equipment is required, such as RF power measurements, DC power supplies, pulse generators, digital multimeters, power meters/sensors, signal generators, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
• Must be eligible to obtain a DoD clearance and must be a US citizen.

Desired Skills

• Related RF undergraduate internship experience.
• Academic experience with RF/microwave project design (active or passive circuit design), including passive components such as resistors, capacitors, and inductors, and active components such as FPGAs, op amps, memories, processors, and systems on chip.
• Familiarity with RF/microwave circuit simulation or 3D electromagnetic simulation tools such as HFSS or CST.
• Familiarity with troubleshooting designs and resolving integration issues.
• Familiarity with reviewing technical documentation such as specifications, schematic diagrams, and test data.
• Demonstrated academic achievement.
