Littleton CO Hiring College Intern

This role supports technical and engineering teams (such as Electronics, Software, Facilities and Manufacturing Engineering) during breaks from college while you are enrolled in an accredited degree program.

Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of other engineers to research, design, analyze and test mechanical components, assemblies and systems of varying complexity.
• Develop and maintain engineering documents, specifications and technical analyses, including 3D solid models and 2D drawings.
• Serve as a member of integrated product teams, working with engineers, adjacent functions, suppliers and stakeholders to support products through the full engineering lifecycle.
• Work with procurement, manufacturing and test personnel to support the build and validation of hardware in a production environment.

The ideal candidate has basic knowledge of 3D CAD modeling and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), good oral and written communication skills, and a general understanding of fundamental mechanical engineering principles. US citizenship is required.

Desired Skills

• Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing per ASME Y14.5.
• Prior experience creating and managing technical documents.
• Fundamental understanding of structures, mechanisms and materials.
• Prior experience applying mechanical engineering fundamentals in the design and/or test of mechanical systems.
