Job Description

This internship is for students enrolled in an accredited degree program, typically considered a Senior, who want to gain hands-on experience during summer break. The role is within administrative organizations such as Finance, Human Resources, Contracts, Planning, or Material.

As a Contracts intern, you will support the most cutting-edge technologies for Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) in the Dallas and/or Orlando business areas. You will have the opportunity to be involved in proposal preparation support, negotiations, contract administration, and contract closeout; reviewing and evaluating customer requests for proposal/information or revisions to contracts; supporting preparations of proposals, developing briefing packages, fact finding and negotiation; exposed to risk assessments and approaches to mitigate risks, including alternative contractual language/clauses; conducting investigations and reconciling significant contract changes involving cost, specifications, schedules, etc., and advising management of contractual rights and responsibilities.

Basic Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited degree program pursuing a degree in Business Administration (e.g. Finance, Accounting, Management, etc.)
• Knowledge of basic financial concepts
• Proficiency with MS Office
