Power Delivery Engineering Intern in Atlanta

Overview

Leidos is looking for Electrical Engineering students to join the team as a Power Delivery Engineering Intern in the Atlanta, GA office. You will work alongside senior engineers and other interns on real-world challenges for utility grid customers. The role will build on your current knowledge and help you develop expertise in the power delivery field.

The Mission

Power Delivery Solutions is an established group of electric utility engineering consultants. The group solves transmission, substation and distribution engineering problems for utility clients nationwide. Leidos works with more than 50 investor-owned utilities and more than 160 municipal and cooperative utilities, along with local providers, private developers, power generation owners and industrial clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop skills in creating work packages for transmission, distribution or substation engineering projects.
• Help prepare project deliverables such as engineered drawings, technical reports, project correspondence and project documentation.
• Support the team in developing processes and procedures that improve project execution efficiency.
• Provide technical and project support for high voltage transmission line projects and low voltage distribution projects.
