Lab Intern

Through our science, data, technology, and laboratory network, we advance diagnostics and accelerate innovation. We are seeking a Lab Intern to join our Microbiology and Molecular team in Tampa, FL.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm, 40 hours per week

Job Responsibilities

• Shadow laboratory professionals and learn diagnostic workflows, instrumentation, and department operations
• Assist with non-testing laboratory tasks, such as specimen organization, inventory, and workspace preparation
• Participate in approved mock testing, demonstrations, and basic laboratory techniques under supervision
• Support approved laboratory projects
• Follow all safety and compliance standard operating procedures

Minimum Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a Chemical, Biological, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology Bachelor's degree program

Internship Details

• Duration: 11 weeks, full-time
• Dates: June 1st through August 13th, 2027
• Eligibility: Preferred candidates are rising juniors and seniors (Dec 2027 through June 2029 graduation) currently enrolled in a relevant degree program; all current students pursuing related studies are encouraged to apply.

Pay Range: $17.75-22/hr
