Summer Associate, TSRL ML

The Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) at JPMorgan Chase works to speed up the firm's data and analytics journey. The Machine Learning Center of Excellence (MLCOE) is part of the CDAO and works across the firm to build and deploy machine learning solutions for some of its toughest business problems. The group also protects the quality, integrity and security of company data and uses it to generate insights and guide decisions.

As a Time Series and Reinforcement Learning Summer Associate in the MLCOE, you will join technologists, ML researchers and engineers who care about machine learning at scale. The team explores cutting-edge research and applies the latest ML techniques to J.P. Morgan's data assets, working directly with traders, portfolio managers, quants, data scientists and salespeople.

The Summer Associate Internship Program begins in June, depending on your academic calendar. Your growth will be supported through project work matched to your academic and professional interests, mentorship, and a speaker series with senior leaders. Job Responsibilities

• Research and explore new machine learning methods through independent study, industry conferences, experimentation and knowledge sharing
• Develop state-of-the-art machine learning models for real-world problems and apply them to different tasks
• Work with partner teams such as Business, Technology, Product Management, Legal, Compliance, Strategy and Business Management to deploy solutions into production

Preferred Qualifications

• Interest in quantitative finance and/or portfolio management
• Knowledge of CPU and GPU architecture, high-performance computing and XLA compilers
• Experience in distributed system design and development
