Ethicon, Inc., a member of the Johnson & Johnson MedTech family based in Raritan, NJ, is recruiting for a Summer 2027 R&D Intern in Wound Closure and Healing. The intern will join a collaborative team of scientists and engineers developing new products for unmet needs in wound closure, with emphasis on antibacterial technologies and cardiovascular surgery.

Key Responsibilities

• Working with teams to design key project studies
• Testing and characterizing prototype devices and competitive products
• Following good documentation practices, including writing test protocols, final reports and meeting minutes
• Collaborating with engineers and outside suppliers on project activities
• Performing hands-on laboratory work in engineering labs
• Using machining processes to build and evaluate novel medical devices
• Attending and participating in Voice-of-Customer (VOC) labs with surgeons
