We are looking for talent for the TDS Proteins AD BMD Co-Op role in Malvern, PA. Five vacancies are currently available. The co-op term typically runs six months, from January to June 2027, with flexible timing. This is a full-time (40 hours per week) fully on-site position.

Purpose

The Analytical Development (AD) Bioassay Method Development (BMD) group within TDS Proteins is looking for a motivated co-op to support projects in analytical development, bioassay and cell line characterization, and Fc effector function assessment for antibody therapeutics. The role offers hands-on experience in laboratory research, assay development, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Support development of analytical platforms that improve assay sustainability and reduce reliance on commercial reagents.
• Assist with Host Cell Protein (HCP) characterization using techniques such as mass spectrometry and enzymatic activity assessments.
• Characterize bioassay cell lines through cell culture, growth rate evaluation, receptor density determination, and flow cytometry.
• Develop and run cell-based and bioanalytical assays to evaluate antibody function, including Fc effector function assessments.
• Analyze experimental data with analytical and statistical tools and create visualizations to support scientific decisions.
• Take part in technical discussions on experimental design and method development.
• Work with internal and external partners through regular project meetings.
• Maintain laboratory notebooks and technical documentation in line with company guidelines.
• Support other laboratory and project activities as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Completion of freshman year at an accredited university is required.
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cell and Molecular Biology, Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Biomedical Engineering, Biological Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific field.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Rising junior or senior preferred; Master's students will also be considered.
• Experience with aseptic technique, cell culture, cell-based assays, and flow cytometry is preferred.
• Experience with experimental design, data analysis, and scientific interpretation is preferred.
• Proficiency in organizing, analyzing, and visualizing scientific datasets is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be available for the full co-op term with no employment commitments that would interfere.
