Job Description:

Role Summary

Support the GMC COO organization with financial planning, budget analysis, program reporting, and operational analytics. This is a finance-oriented role rather than a general marketing internship.

Responsibilities

• Support the assigned business unit through research, analysis, and project coordination.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute to ongoing activities as part of projects assigned.
• Participate in team activities by attending team meetings, learning about project methodologies, and collaborating effectively with colleagues.
• Identify and suggest implementation of specific changes to processes and tools to improve performance, efficiency, and customer/client satisfaction.
• Develop an understanding of internal and external relationships with stakeholders for performance expectations and needs.
• Fulfill tasks and responsibilities assigned by a supervisor in a timely and efficient manner.
• Participate in periodic reviews to share updates and incorporate feedback on assigned projects/initiatives.

Role-Specific Scope & Responsibilities

• Support budget planning, administration, forecasting, and variance analysis for GMC priorities and programs.
• Assist with financial and operational reporting, including recurring dashboards, management views, and executive-ready summaries.
• Analyze business data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and areas requiring management attention.
• Support program-management activities, including planning, milestone tracking, dependencies, and status reporting.
• Contribute to strategy and operations initiatives, including process improvement and operating-model analysis.
• Provide analytical support for M&A integration or other transformation initiatives as priorities require.

Education & Experience

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related non-technical field.
• No prior experience required; previous internships or campus involvement is a plus.
• Preferred academic backgrounds for this role: Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Time management skills and working within defined timelines.
• A collaborative, solution-focused mindset and overall sense of urgency.
• Proficiency in standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Comfort with financial analysis, spreadsheets, and structured problem solving.
• Ability to translate data into concise management insights.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational discipline.
• Interest in corporate finance, operations, strategy, or transformation.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn and apply emerging technologies and AI-enabled tools where appropriate to the assigned work.
