About the Team

The AV / AI Capacity & Performance Engineering team provides the compute, networking, storage, and AI infrastructure that supports AI and ML innovation across teams such as Embodied AI, Simulation, and Data Science. The team builds capacity models, improves cloud efficiency, supports vendor planning, and develops tooling that makes capacity, demand, utilization, reliability, and cost visible to engineering stakeholders.

The Capacity Intelligence system is the team's operational interface and single point of truth for capacity intake, cloud spending, budget pacing, quota and queue analysis, egress forecasting, and related capacity insights. It is being expanded to include new cloud providers and more advanced modeling capabilities. These tools help GM tackle the complexities of autonomous driving technology and speed up our path to commercialization.

About the Role

As an intern, you will help develop and optimize the Capacity Intelligence system, with a focus on adding new capabilities.

What You'll Do

• Develop scalable infrastructure, tools, and insights that support Model Training, Simulation, CI Build, and Data Generation within the capacity intelligence program.
• Write code for deliverables alongside the engineering team.
• Carry out specific responsibilities that vary by team.

Work Arrangement

This internship is hybrid. The selected intern is expected to report to the office up to three times per week or as the team determines.
