As a Quality Specialist on the Global Supply Chain Materials Quality team, you will help drive GE Vernova Gas Power toward a zero-defect framework through preventative quality projects tied to its largest Finished Goods Distribution Center.

What you'll do

• Carry out data-driven analysis to make packaging improvements for the top non-conforming suppliers and material types
• Cycle count and inspect inventory, sorting conforming from non-conforming material to improve systemic accuracy and reduce customer-escaping defects
• Build and expand a digital parts visual database for augmented picking technology

What you'll bring

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Basic understanding of quality systems, Lean principles, corrective action processes, and nonconformance management
• Experience with Oracle and SAP ERP systems is a plus

What will make you stand out

• Experience in a laboratory, QA/QC environment, or interpreting
• Engineered CAD drawings or specifications
• Quality certifications such as ISO 9001:2015, AS9100, IATF 16949, or similar
• Degree focus in Quality, Sciences (Materials, Chemistry, etc.), Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Operations, or a related field

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Manual handling: able to lift 40 pounds, or 80 pounds in tandem
• Environment: ambient temperatures, walking in a large facility with no motorized access
• Safety: highly regulated, with emphasis on accountability and continuous improvement

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on obtaining authorization for that access from the U.S. Government.
