What You Will Do

• Receive technical training, mentorship, and coaching from world-class technologists and experienced technical managers.
• Grow your technical expertise in your chosen field and expand your skills in new areas.
• Engineering interns in Gas Power experience technically challenging assignments in the power generation industry, focusing on areas such as Systems, Analysis, Design, Quality, Reliability, Digital, and Integration & Test.
• Perform design and analysis of product lines in areas such as steam turbines, gas turbines, gas engines, and generators.

Responsibilities include developing and implementing new design concepts and design improvements. You may work with the drafting team to create or update drawings, and partner with the manufacturing team to solve problems that arise out of the complex manufacturing processes required to make these parts.

Basic Qualifications

• Must have one to two semesters left prior to graduation and be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in an engineering discipline as listed below.
• The following majors are eligible: Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.

• Must have the ability to work in the United States for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship.

The pay for this position ranges from $1,000-2,000 weekly based on years of undergraduate/graduate field of study completed.

This position is also eligible for:

• Relocation Assistance: Co-op/Interns will be reimbursed for reasonable, proper, and documented expenditures incurred while initially reporting to work and returning to school/home upon completion of the assignment. Employees with a permanent address greater than 50 miles away from the work location are eligible.
• Housing Allowance: Co-op/Interns receive a weekly housing allowance to help offset living expenses when the co-op/Intern's permanent residence is at least 50 miles away from the work location.
• Employee Assistance Program, providing 24/7 confidential assessment, counseling, and referral services.
• GE Retirement Savings Plan (RSP) after their accumulated service reaches 90 days, and they meet any other eligibility requirements as defined in the plans. (Eligibility occurs on the 1st of the month following the 90th day.)
