Job Description

Nationwide Insurance is seeking Feature Engineer Interns to join the Enterprise Analytics Office (EAO) from May to August 2027 in Columbus, Ohio.

The Feature Engineer team works with Data Scientists to turn AI/ML models into integrated solutions that support company success. You will work closely with data scientists to design, build, and maintain reliable data pipelines for machine learning models and advanced analytics. Your job is to turn raw data into dependable, well-documented datasets ready for analysis and modeling.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality datasets.
• Analyze and resolve moderately complex issues related to application support and logging.
• Implement solutions for complex business requirements and systems integrations.
• Prepare detailed specifications, requirements, scope documents, and logic flowcharts for application development and changes.
• Test applications to confirm solutions are executable, testable, complete, and clear while meeting end-user requirements.
