Group Summary:

The Mechatronics, Mirrors and Lighting group specializes in automotive technologies that are driving the future of mobility. Combining deep systems knowledge to develop unique vehicle access experiences, intelligent vision systems, and advanced automotive lighting technologies, MML's expertise lights the path to innovation, safety, and styling.

Job Responsibilities:

Work is focused on daily workflow requirements involving detailed engineering assignments. Guidance is provided either by instruction on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and possible solutions, or by independently evaluating, selecting, and applying established engineering techniques, procedures, policies, or systems. Decisions involve minimal risk to the organization, with increasing levels of skilled and challenging work.

• Support team efforts related to product, process, tooling, testing, and materials as they relate to product engineering activities.
• Take direction from staff engineers and Engineering Managers for predevelopment engineering activities through the production phase. Understand and adhere to program schedules and report progress as required.
• Serve as a liaison and coordinate development activities of internal and external resources. Provide problem-solving by initiating action to overcome obstacles.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts. Research, recommend, and implement new or existing products, processes, materials, and equipment. Engage in comparative and competitive analysis to ensure the most appropriate beneficial techniques are used.
• Support team efforts in benchmarking automotive and non-automotive parts when necessary.
• Perform other duties as necessary for project completion and achievement of departmental goals.
