Undergraduate Intern

What you will achieve

This is a motivated internship for someone who will work on a range of initiatives in a fast-paced environment within a premier corporate venture firm. You will help drive cross-portfolio activities across the Dell Technologies Capital venture organization. The work includes market analyses, business and investment strategy synthesis, startup and early-stage scans for potential investments, support for deal execution infrastructure, and financial modelling.

The ideal candidate has strong organizational and communication skills, can manage multiple project tasks within deadlines, and works effectively with many levels of management.

You will:

• Conduct early-stage venture market analysis, startup landscape reviews, market opportunity sizing, and assessments of emerging venture areas
• Research and develop market intelligence overviews and strategic connections to Dell Technologies
• Assist with creating, planning, executing and communicating programs and initiatives
• Conduct primary research across a wide range of technology and business areas

Essential requirements

• Undergraduate degree in a technical field preferred
• Regularly reviews technology blogs and research reports (e.g. VentureBeat, TechCrunch, etc.)
• Working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint); Salesforce knowledge a plus
• A preliminary understanding of the venture capital industry and structure
• Enjoys collaborating and can work independently on small projects with quick turnaround and little direction

Desirable requirements

• Strong problem-solving skills, analytical capabilities, data analysis, and attention to detail
• Excellent cross-group collaboration and communication skills

Compensation

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation. The pay range for this position is $24.96-$36.57 per hour, depending on location.
