Location and Work Arrangement

• Hybrid: Interns work a mixed schedule of remote work and 3 days in person at the CrowdStrike Arlington office for team meetings, collaboration sessions, and other essential events.

Time Commitment

Interns work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, during standard business hours.

About the Role

CrowdStrike seeks intelligence analysts, threat responders, researchers and engineers to maintain its position as the market leader in cloud-delivered endpoint protection. The team combines intellectual curiosity with proven and emerging technologies to deliver actionable intelligence and breach detection and prevention.

The Intelligence Automation team prototypes, builds and operates the systems that make up the Intelligence pipeline. Work spans data science and machine learning, platform and infrastructure engineering, traditional software engineering, and security research. The common theme is using AI to build systems that do real work reliably, including the tools, environments, guardrails and evaluations that let AI workflows handle production tasks.

The team is globally distributed and communicates mostly through Slack and Zoom, so the ability to work unsupervised, communicate asynchronously, and take initiative is important.

What You Will Do

Choose a project based on your preferences and experience, across areas such as:

• Data Science and AI: multi-agent orchestration, RAG, sandboxing, software factory, evaluations, self-improvement loops
• Infrastructure and Platform Engineering: operating containerized workloads and CI/CD pipelines, and building environments and tooling for development and AI workflows
• Software Engineering: writing scalable, production-ready code and the tests and automation that keep it correct
• Security Research: binary analysis, vulnerability research and threat intelligence

Regardless of project, you will architect AI-assisted systems with real-world impact by defining how AI components integrate with tools, data sources and each other, and how their output is verified. You will also learn what it takes to run AI workflows in production, including evaluation, monitoring, failure handling and continuous improvement, and work directly with Senior Data Scientists, Engineers, and Researchers.

What You Will Need

• Enrolled as an undergraduate or Masters student in your penultimate year of study (2028 graduate) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field
• Solid knowledge and experience in at least one of: Python, Go, Rust, JavaScript/TypeScript
• Comfortable working in a Linux environment, with git and modern CI/CD
• Proven experience using AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes. You can show repos, workflows or projects where you directed AI agents to do substantial work.
• The ability to design around AI rather than just prompt it, thinking in interfaces, test suites, failure modes and quality gates
• Ability to communicate technical detail in a simple, top-down manner
• Ability to independently make sound, justifiable decisions and take action
• Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work independently and meet deadlines
