About this role

Assist lead Project Engineers with design, documentation, and programming or graphics of building automation systems (BASs). This role involves proactive communication with the project team and occasional project site visits to gather information for BAS designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with design tasks for completing building automation systems.
• Assist with BAS design documentation (such as submittals) and revision control of the resulting documents.
• Assist with site-specific configuration of the WebCTRL system using SiteBuilder.
• Assist with programming control algorithms.
• Assist with developing graphical and text-based interfaces for building automation systems using Eikon and ViewBuilder.
• Assist with final documentation of the building automation system, including all changes made since the submittal was issued.
• Communicate clearly and set proactive expectations with the manager and internal project teams.
• Follow safety standards with a strong regard for employee and subcontractor safety.
• Follow ethics standards and model the Carrier code of ethics.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in construction, HVAC and/or building automation.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project, Access and other Windows products).
• Experience with Microsoft Visio (other CAD software is acceptable).
• Ability to report to the assigned work location reliably.
• Ability to balance multiple concurrent priorities.
• Aptitude for problem-solving.
• Time management skills, including estimating the time needed for tasks and delivering on committed timelines.
• Clear verbal and written communicator who can translate technical information for technical and non-technical audiences.

Other Compensation

This position may be eligible for short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
