Production Engineering Intern in Danbury, CT

The Opportunity

Join a team of production engineers who work on complex, meaningful technical challenges every day. As a Production Engineering Intern, you will partner with cross-functional teams to solve real technical problems while gaining hands-on and analytical experience with Space and Defense systems. You will contribute across the development cycle, from early design ideas to final system testing, using industry-standard tools and methods. The internship is fully on-site at our Danbury, CT location.

Responsibilities

• Create, review, and maintain manufacturing work instructions in a paperless execution system
• Analyze statistical process control (SPC) data and evaluate manufacturing and assembly processes
• Work with ERP and MES systems to support production operations and process improvements
• Use 3D printing and other technologies to develop and maintain assembly tooling and fixtures
• Help identify, troubleshoot, and implement corrective actions for manufacturing issues

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or a closely related field
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future
• Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and assembly operations
• Familiarity with statistical process control concepts and data analysis
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, work instructions, and engineering drawings
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with ERP and/or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
• Familiarity with 3D printing, CAD software, or manufacturing tooling and fixtures
• Previous internship, lab, or project experience in a manufacturing environment

Pay Range

Final salary depends on factors including geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. CACI offers competitive compensation, benefits, and learning and development opportunities, including healthcare, wellness, financial, retirement, family support, continuing education, and time off benefits.

The proposed salary range for this position is $45,900 - $91,900.
