This internship offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced prototyping and fabrication setting, where engineering concepts move quickly from design to build to flight. Interns work alongside experienced engineers on real operational requirements and gain exposure to airframe development, performance analysis, and flight test activities.

Responsibilities

  • Support development of 3D models, drawings, and configuration updates
  • Participate in structural assessments and basic performance analysis
  • Assist with system integration of propulsion, control, and payload components
  • Support ground testing, fit checks, and pre-flight preparation
  • Collect and organize test data during ground and flight events
  • Assist in development of technical documentation and test reports
  • Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis of airframe or performance issues
  • Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and systems teams during integration efforts

Desired Experience

  • Experience with UAV/UAS platforms or RC aircraft
  • Familiarity with structural analysis or simulation tools
  • Exposure to propulsion systems or flight control concepts
  • Prior internship, lab research, or project team experience
