Steering Virtual Testing Intern in Plymouth, MI

Job Description

Bosch Vehicle Motion North America is looking for a student to support the Virtual Vehicle Testing and CAE departments. The ideal candidate is interested in and passionate about automotive systems, vehicle dynamics, and simulation.

• Support the Steering System Hardware-in-Loop team with product development tasks such as test support and testing chamber preparation
• Support the Steering CAE team with mechanical simulations
• Document and maintain technical product data and procedures
• Assist with or develop testing scripts using Matlab, Simulink, and CarSim
• Assist with or develop data analysis scripts using MATLAB or the dSPACE Automation Desk
• Assist with or develop a Virtual Vehicle Environment

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA
• Understanding of Mechanical and Electrical fundamentals
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• This internship can last up to 12 months

Preferred Qualifications

• Involvement in Formula SAE or Formula Baja
• Strong knowledge of vehicle dynamics
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Experience with Matlab/Simulink
• Experience with Abaqus/Ansys
• Experience with CarSim
• Proficiency with hands-on skills
