Information Security and Privacy Intern

Bosch's central information security and privacy team in North America works to strengthen information security and privacy governance across the Bosch businesses in the region. The team is building local ISP governance structures in the USA, Canada, and Mexico by adapting Bosch's centrally developed data protection and information security management system to local laws and requirements. This includes defining local procedural structures that are formalized in regional information security and privacy regulations, delivering regional ISP awareness and training, and checking compliance through local governance audits.

This internship is onsite at about 25 hours a week in Farmington Hills, Michigan, the headquarters of Bosch North America, within the Information Security and Data Protection Region North America organization. You will support a highly dynamic team with data protection compliance tracking, data reporting, and other tasks as needed. Tasks are assigned based on your skills and career focus.

Responsibilities

1. Data Analytics and Reporting

• Develop and maintain reporting dashboards and presentations using Power BI, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Consolidate and visualize regional data from various business sectors into executive-ready management slide decks, and evaluate it against local legal requirements.

2. Compliance, Privacy and Training Operations

• Manage the intake of Data Subject Access Requests (DSAR) to support regional privacy law requirements.
• Coordinate workshops, training sessions, and alignment meetings, and manage the related materials.

3. Project Coordination and Tool Support

• Carry out pre-work activities, including information gathering, task clustering, and progress tracking across project workstreams.
• Support the rollout and development of internal collaboration platforms and DPMS and ISMS tools (e.g. Viva Engage).

4. General Administrative Support

• Provide administrative and operational support as needed.
