The Role

The company is looking for a motivated and analytical intern to support strategic business operations, process improvement, and data analytics initiatives. This role suits a student pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering or another engineering discipline who enjoys using data to solve business problems, improve operational performance, and support data-driven decisions.

The intern will work with cross-functional teams to analyze business processes, develop insights from enterprise data, and support work on forecasting, productivity, business intelligence, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, clean, analyze, and interpret data from multiple business systems and data sources.
  • Build dashboards, reports, and visualizations that communicate business performance and trends.
  • Support forecasting, planning, and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze business processes to find opportunities for automation, efficiency gains, and waste reduction.
  • Document current and future-state workflows, requirements, and process maps.
  • Assist with business intelligence projects using data analytics tools and reporting platforms.
  • Perform root cause analysis and develop recommendations to improve operational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Operations, Finance, Customer Success, Sales Operations, and Product teams.
  • Present findings and recommendations to project teams and leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering/Operations Research, Mechanical Engineering, Systems/Computer Engineering, or another engineering discipline with a clear interest in data analytics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • A curious mindset and a desire to learn new technologies and business processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with data querying concepts.
  • Coursework or experience in Data Analytics, Process Improvement, Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma, Operations Research, or Business Intelligence.
  • Experience with Python, R, or other analytics tools.
  • Knowledge of process mapping and continuous improvement methodologies.
