Join Amgen's Mission of Serving Patients

At Amgen, our shared mission is to serve patients living with serious illnesses, and that mission guides everything we do. Since 1980, we have helped pioneer biotech in the fight against some of the world's toughest diseases.

Amgen focuses on four therapeutic areas: Oncology, Inflammation, General Medicine, and Rare Disease. We reach millions of patients each year and are advancing a broad pipeline of medicines for cancer, heart disease, inflammatory conditions, rare diseases, and obesity and obesity-related conditions. Team members research, manufacture, and deliver innovative medicines that help people live longer, fuller, happier lives.

Our culture is collaborative, innovative, and science based. If you enjoy challenges, you will do well here.

What You Will Do

During this program, you will gain real-world experience in corporate social responsibility and learn about the management and operations of the Amgen Foundation, the main philanthropic arm of Amgen, Inc.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Helping strengthen staff engagement programs by analyzing data to find trends and areas for improvement in the Foundation's community giving programs, then independently studying and synthesizing results and sharing insights
  • Researching emerging staff engagement trends outside the organization and sharing findings with the team, along with recommended ideas for engaging employees in community giving
  • Shadowing and supporting the team on the Foundation's signature global programs and taking part in short-term projects
  • Supporting the Foundation's global communications strategy and operations
  • Supporting the annual community grants cycle, including analyzing and sharing insights on submitted grant applications
  • Providing day-to-day operational support that keeps the team's work running smoothly and effectively

What You Can Expect of Us

We work to develop treatments that take care of others, and we also invest in your professional and personal growth and well-being. You will have access to competitive benefits and a collaborative culture.

  • Build a network of colleagues that will last throughout your time with us and beyond
  • Bring your authentic self to work in a culture that values diversity of thought and experience
  • Take part in executive and social networking events, as well as community volunteer projects

In any materials you submit, you may redact or remove age-identifying information such as age, date of birth, or dates of school attendance or graduation, without penalty.
