VT Scholar Program Summer 2027 Internship

The Opportunity

We are offering 10-12 week summer internship opportunities for students in the Virginia Tech Scholars Program pursuing degrees in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, computational modeling and data analysis, or related fields.

As a CACI intern, you will engage in meaningful projects and gain hands-on experience across a variety of technical capabilities. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, you'll explore different facets of our organization, develop real-world technical skills, expand your professional network, and learn about potential career paths.

At CACI, we tackle complex challenges, developing solutions for signals intelligence, building enterprise business systems, creating analytics that drive insight and decision-making, and designing next-generation systems using modern agile methodologies, cloud technologies, and advanced algorithms. You'll receive structured assignments and mentoring, but we also value self-starters who bring fresh ideas, creativity, and initiative.

Upon acceptance into the program, your specific role, project assignment, work location, and manager will be confirmed in the weeks that follow.

Qualifications

Required:

• Currently enrolled at Virginia Tech and an active VT Scholar
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future
• Ability to obtain and maintain any required security clearance
• Strong academic performance and eagerness to learn
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Professional attitude and a growth mindset
• Availability to work 40 hours per week for 10-12 weeks during the summer term

Desired:

• Interest in solving real-world problems through innovation and teamwork
• Practical experience in your area of study, be a practitioner of your trade
• Proficiency in tools/software relevant to your field

Pay Range

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is: $45,900 - $91,900
