About the Role

On-Demand is a team within the Engagement Growth organization at Twitch. It focuses on giving creators the tools they need to build, grow, and entertain their communities. Engineers here work on video on demand, clips, and other short-form content, including how creators make and curate them and the platforms that distribute them to viewers.

You will join a collaborative team that designs, builds, and maintains systems that scale to millions of concurrent users. The team constantly works to improve the experience for users and is looking for people who care about the end user.

You Will:

• Learn and contribute across the full stack of our software, including backend (Go) and frontend (React)
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers and designers to build new products and solutions
• Take part in Operational Excellence work to maintain and support our live services
• Help earn customer trust by working with support teams to resolve issues and fix production bugs

You Have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience as a Software Engineer
• Willingness to learn new things and work with a diverse group of people
• A strong foundation in data structures and algorithms
• Familiarity with scalability, concurrency, API design, data modeling, and distributed systems fundamentals
• Proficiency in Go, Java, Python or another object-oriented language
• An eagerness to grow as a Software Engineer

Bonus Points

• Familiarity with AWS infrastructure
• Coding experience with React
• Twitch experience or knowledge as a viewer, moderator or streamer
