Change the world. Love your job. Texas Instruments is looking for an Equipment Technician to join the team. You will handle preventative maintenance, equipment repairs, improvements, upgrades, and installation. You will work with engineering and manufacturing groups across the fab to resolve issues quickly and effectively.

Responsibilities include:

  • Improve system performance to meet process requirements and eliminate repetitive downs
  • Monitor and analyze related data to improve tool performance and address tool-related issues
  • Coordinate supplier service and repairs where needed
  • Prepare technical reports and summary findings, and recommend solutions to technical problems

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to work a 12-hour compressed work schedule
  • Flexibility to work day or night shift, including one weekend shift and holidays
  • One of the following:
    • Technical Certificate or Associate Degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Technology, Automated Manufacturing, Industrial Automation, Robotics, Industrial Systems and Controls, Electromechanical Technology, or a related field
    • 3 years of hands-on technical maintenance work experience

Preferred qualifications:

  • Self-driven, with the ability to identify and resolve issues that improve equipment performance
  • Good troubleshooting skills on electrical and mechanical systems
  • Excellent organizational, teamwork, and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively across functions
  • Ability to take initiative and drive for results
  • Strong time management skills that support on-time project delivery
  • Ability to work effectively in an interrupt-driven, fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to build strong, influential relationships
