Systems Support Analyst Intern

Geneva Trading is seeking students to join our systems support team for a systems support analyst apprenticeship next year. This 15-week, part-time, on-site role provides hands-on experience in desktop and general IT support within the trading industry. Interns learn on the job by asking questions, applying classroom knowledge, and gaining real-world experience while learning from experienced IT professionals. You'll receive mentorship from industry pros and additional support from the Human Resources team. This is a temporary part-time opportunity with flexible start date and hours based on your academic schedule.

As a Systems Support Analyst You Will:

• Respond to hardware and software support issues from employees for Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel), Phone/Voicemail, Printers, etc.
• Leverage AI-driven productivity tools and assistants (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to accelerate troubleshooting, research solutions, and improve help desk efficiency.
• Assist in supporting and troubleshooting enterprise AI applications and features used by internal staff.
• Set up, configure, and install new workstations, monitors, etc.
• Install and configure applications as requested.
• Set up/remove user accounts as required.
• Track and update IT inventory.
• Perform miscellaneous related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in an associate's or bachelor's degree program in Information Technology or a similar field of study.
• Experience troubleshooting, basic networking concepts, and Windows OS.
• A foundational understanding of Generative AI concepts and an eagerness to learn how AI is transforming modern IT operations.
• Excellent customer service and general hardware knowledge.
• Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with application support and hardware builds highly preferred.
• Prior experience using AI tools to assist with basic scripting (e.g., PowerShell) or task automation preferred.
• Strong project management experience preferred.
• Prior work experience in Help Desk, Desktop Support, IT Support, or End User Support preferred.

Compensation: Hourly Range: $30-35/hr. The final hourly rate will depend on the successful candidate's skills, experience, education, and qualifications. Application expected to close: 11/23/2026.
