Standard Job Description

Perform assignments in technical or engineering organizations, such as Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, Facilities Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering, during vacations and short-term breaks from college while enrolled in an accredited degree program. Typically considered a Senior.

In this role, you will participate in engineering tasks supporting a systems engineering team. Working with experienced engineers, you will perform work in all systems engineering phases, which may include:

• Requirements definition
• Allocation and maintenance
• CONOPs development
• Integration and Test plan development
• Trade studies
• Interface Control Document (ICD) development

The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of the Systems Engineering Lifecycle, as well as basic analysis tools such as MatLab and STK, and basic knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering approaches and tools, including CAMEO.

The Systems Engineer - Intern can expect to be part of the following tasks:

• Technical planning
• Systems integration
• Verification and validation
• Cost and risk assessment
• Supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.

Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product, including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal. This position requires the selected candidate to be eligible to obtain a government security clearance; U.S. Citizenship is required. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering or in a related Engineering discipline program from an accredited college
• Project-based experience in coursework, extracurricular activity, and/or work experience
• Must be a U.S. Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Desired Skills

• Systems Engineering lifecycle knowledge and experience
• Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) knowledge and experience
• CAMEO utilization experience
• Active or Current Top Secret security clearance
• Experience working on cross-functional project teams, with excellent communication and collaboration skills

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $30.16 - $34.84
