What You Will Do

• Learn requirements capture and peer review for AMS cockpit avionics for the CH-53K program.
• Participate in decomposing and allocating requirements to appropriate domains within Collins Aerospace.
• Support the creation of test procedures to verify requirements.
• Participate in on-site execution of requirements-based testing, robustness and Ad-Hoc testing in a lab environment (schedule flexibility is necessary during formal test phases).
• Collaborate within an Agile-based development team of professional engineers.

What You Will Learn

• The full experience of platform systems engineering activities from initial requirements capture all the way to supporting fielded products.
• How to be successful in an Agile development environment.
• Effective use of systems engineering tools such as DOORS, JIRA, JAMA, and the ALM tools suite.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Basic experience with DOORS, JAMA, JIRA, and ALM tool suite.
• Basic experience working within an aerospace related engineering development environment.
• Basic experience or knowledge of engineering/technology requirements capture and configuration management tools.
• Basic experience or an educational background covering requirements capture and definition, integration, verification and validation testing.

Additional Details

This position is classified as Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility.
