Immerse yourself in a Monday-Friday Co-Op session, that will run from January to June (it is expected students will take this time off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).

This position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.

What You Will Learn

  • Redact clear technical documentation, as well as create and provide impactful, persuasive technical presentations to internal and external customers.
  • Develop and sustain a healthy work relationship based on mutual trust with peers, internal and external customers where significant interaction is expected.
  • Manage increased workload and changes in priorities by utilizing project management skills.

What You Will Do

  • Provide engineering support to maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) processes.
  • Perform structural assessments for stress analysis, vibration, low cycle fatigue life and residual life (fracture mechanics) prediction.
  • Participate as an active member in cross-discipline integrated product teams to provide design solutions that balance performance, cost, schedule, and quality requirements.
  • Develop and incorporate new ways to advance technology and improve processes as an individual and as a team contributor. Embrace a continuous improvement philosophy.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program in an applicable field of study: Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

  • Basic experience with some of these software and programming languages: ANSYS, APDL, Workbench, ABAQUS, PATRAN / NASTRAN, MATLAB, VBA, Python, C++, Fortran, MS Office or NX.
  • Completed courses in material sciences, mechanics of materials, material failure analysis or manufacturing process.

Aftermarket and Sustainment Engineering executes both military and commercial repair design and repairs substantiations for engines. We create and improve ASE business and repair development tools. We design, develop, and qualify military repair tooling.

In addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work. We've introduced role types to help you understand how you will operate in our blended work environment. This position is classified: Hybrid. Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. This means that responsibilities of the job need to be performed onsite in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico on a regular basis with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote following the schedule assigned by the Manager.
