Main Responsibilities

• Support mRNA production for mRNA drug targets, including batch production, characterization and process optimization.
• Work on synthesis and purification of a range of mRNA constructs in parallel to move programs forward quickly.
• Carry out accurate and reproducible analytical characterization for the full release panel of mRNA drug substance.
• Help optimize mRNA sequence design, production and purification.
• Support platform projects by evaluating and implementing new technologies and improving existing workflows.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations and recommendations for management and other stakeholders.
• This is primarily a lab-based position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a team-first, fast-paced setting, learning new skills and solving problems efficiently.
• Experience with nucleic acid synthesis and handling (RNase-free), with hands-on work in messenger RNA production and characterization.
• Hands-on experience with capillary and gel electrophoresis is an asset.
• Hands-on experience with analytical and molecular biology methods relevant to mRNA is an asset.
• Attention to detail and meticulous record keeping.
• Manages time well and can handle multiple projects at once.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $35.00 to $47.00 per hour. Final pay will depend on demonstrated experience.
