What You Will Do:

• Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, running from January to July/August (including the Spring semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).
• Provide Engineering support and ownership for the Fuel and Oil pump product line in support of new development pump design efforts and production/fielded pump programs.
• Support lead design engineers in performance of CFD analysis in support of new pump designs and field investigations.
• Lead Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA) efforts to identify causes and mitigation plans for issues affecting pump program productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction.
• Provide customer support for Field Failure investigations.
• Resolve Supplier Requests for Information (SRIs) by providing clarifications and processing Change Requests (CRs).

What You Will Learn:

• Manage piece part supplier transitions.
• Pursue cost saving opportunities to maximize project profitability.
• Consolidate and present plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the project.
• Support Quality investigations as necessary when piece-part issues affect product deliveries.
• Verify internal processes are being executed to reduce probability of engineering turn backs.
• Read and interpret drawings, provide mark ups, and coordinate drawing changes.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Experience using analytical and developmental software such as MATLAB, CAD, NX, and/or AutoCAD.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and/or PowerPoint).

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with mechanical hardware is preferred.

Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
