What You Will Do

• Prioritize and solve System Controls issues with internal operations and vendors, supervised changes to PLC logic (Rockwell Studio 5000, Siemens TIA Portal) and update tag maps/I/O documentation.
• Create reusable templates (alarms, OEE, downtime reasons) and basic scripting (e.g., Python/Jython for Ignition), following site standards.
• Verify data collection redundancy and security for process parameters.
• Develop and improve HMI and SCADA systems (mostly Ignition based) to OT Networking.
• Capture and maintain OT asset inventory and network topology diagrams.
• Help author, maintain, and publish standard operating procedures, engineering procedures, and integration best practices.
• Troubleshoot non-functioning components including servos, sensors, and control components.
• Provide analysis and develop recommendations for corrective actions due to process failures.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Must be pursuing a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and actively enrolled through the completion of the co-op.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Prior RTX internship, co-op or work experience
• Exposure to Rockwell Studio 5000, Siemens TIA Portal, Ignition, FactoryTalk, RSNetworks, Canary, SQL Server/Postgres.
• Experience reading NFPA/NEC references and contributing to FAT/SAT events.

• Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
