What You Will Do

• Support manufacturing processes, including equipment, floor layouts, work sequences, work instructions, procedures and workflow.
• Conduct studies on cost control, productivity, cost reduction, inventory management and production record systems.
• Review products and processes for quality, safety and producibility risks, and work with design teams to build in changes that reduce those risks.
• Manage moderately sized projects or processes.
• Independently resolve challenging and often complex problems.
• Develop tactical plans to handle day-to-day challenges.
• Travel to local Iowa regional sites as needed.

What You Will Learn

• Gain hands-on experience as an industrial engineer supporting manufacturing processes for high-frequency communication radios and circuit board production.
• Learn engineering tools common in process areas, such as SAP, engineering drawings, change control boards, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, eView and PDM.
• Gain experience with standard work tools and processes while working toward CORE certification.
• Grow within the role and expand your knowledge to prepare for other positions.
• Build communication and collaboration skills essential to success in the role.

This role is onsite. Employees in onsite roles work primarily on site, including production and maintenance employees, who are essential to developing our products.
