What You Will Do:

As a Systems Engineering Co-op, you will have the opportunity to work across engineering disciplines and see how a complex avionics product progresses from requirements and architecture through design, integration, verification, and qualification. Just as importantly, you will learn how engineering teams turn technical challenges into executable plans, and how systems engineers help keep multidisciplinary teams aligned.

• Develop and refine system and product requirements with guidance from experienced engineers.
• Help define verification methods, test cases, test procedures, and acceptance criteria.
• Integrate hardware and software and perform hands-on testing in an avionics laboratory.
• Investigate problems that cross systems, hardware, software, firmware, and test boundaries.
• Participate in technical reviews and help teams evaluate design alternatives and engineering tradeoffs.

What You Will Learn:

• A co-op in Computing Products provides exposure to much more than one engineering specialty. Depending on your assignment, you can develop experience in:
• Systems Engineering
• Requirements development and decomposition
• System architecture and interfaces
• Verification and validation

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or graduate degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Foundational engineering problem-solving and analytical skills.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Systems engineering or requirements development
• Embedded hardware or software
• Electronics, digital logic, or microcontrollers
• Python, C/C++, MATLAB, or other engineering programming languages
• Automated testing or data analysis

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
