As a Product Design Intern, you will support the Accessories team with project development, assist with managing a small single category as needed, and help support the Online Product Approvals (OPA) system. You will have the ability to work with various accessories categories including bags, backpacks, footwear, headwear, hosiery, jewelry, timing, and vision teams to ensure the highest quality, consumer-focused, trend-right product lines across licensing.

If selected, you will report to the Senior Manager, Product Design. This internship is a full-time, in-person, six-month commitment in Glendale, California, from January 11th 2027 through June 4th 2027.

What You Will Do

• Develop and design product mock-ups, gather images and layout creative presentations, and trend point of view boards
• Collaborate with Sr. Managers and Design managers to design, approve, and review products and packaging while collaborating on feedback
• Create templates for design point of view boards for creative rollouts
• Pull cross-category product trends for Accessories
• Assist in pulling art direction and assets for collaborations
• Monitor competitors, product innovation, and market dynamics
• Research initial seasonal trends by category
• Manage and organize product samples
• Multi-task and prioritize multiple design projects within strict deadlines
• Assist with a large volume of packaging approvals
• Present our team's deck at our creative rollouts

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Prior coursework and/or experience in Softlines categories (e.g., raw materials, silver smithing, plastic, textiles, print, pattern, graphic composition, manufacturing)
• Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate ideas clearly and effectively
• Demonstrated product design skills (e.g., 3D product design, technical design, sketching, creative application and manipulation of art, final mechanical art, fabric and trim identification, CAD sketches)
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Keynote, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Receptive to constructive feedback and able to apply direction effectively
• Able to remain effective under pressure and adapt quickly to changing priorities

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Prior experience in jewelry design
• Coursework and/or experience in silversmithing
• Skilled in creating mood boards/trend boards

Education

• Senior year preferred
• Pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Fashion Design, Product Design with an emphasis on products related to Bags, Backpacks, Footwear, Headwear, Hosiery, Jewelry, Timing, and Vision

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all the requirements below:

• Be enrolled in an accredited college/university, pursuing a degree, taking at least one class at the time of application, OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
• Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney Internship or Disney College Program
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Possess unrestricted work authorization

Additional Information

• The dates of this internship are January 11th 2027 through June 4th 2027
• This team generally works in the Glendale office M-TH and remotely on Fridays
• Fully available from Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Pacific Time Zone for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
• Be aligned with The Disney Look appearance guidelines
• Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Glendale, California, area
• Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work

The pay rate for this role in Glendale, CA is $23.00 per hour. Select benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, such as medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
