Live Entertainment Character Content Creator Intern

About the Role & Program

Disney Live Entertainment creates, produces, and delivers engaging entertainment experiences through innovative storytelling and a culture of collaboration. Our work can be seen at Disney theme parks, resort hotels, cruise ships, and other locations worldwide. Our diverse team, including technical directors, writers, lighting designers, choreographers, cosmetologists, and music producers, brings magical worlds to life through technical expertise, performance excellence, and a dash of pixie dust.

The Character Programs and Development Content Creation Team is responsible for creating and maintaining written and visual costume documentation materials that sustain the quality, integrity, and operational use of Character costumes worldwide. We ensure all end users have access to accurate and consistent content, informed by Subject Matter Experts, and continuously updated throughout each Character's life.

If selected, you will report to the Manager, Character Content.

This is a full-time 6-month internship from January 2027 to June 2027, located in Orlando, FL.

What You Will Do

• Develop Character-specific documentation materials for new Character development projects
• Update, maintain, and audit existing documentation
• Partner with Subject Matter Experts to gather documentation content
• Assist in capturing photo and video media for documentation materials
• Edit Character photos for Documentation and Performance Training Materials

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Exceptional organizational skills, including attention to detail, creative thinking, content layout, cataloging, and tracking
• Basic knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Adobe InDesign and Photoshop
• Basic knowledge and experience with photo editing, word processing, page layout, formatting, templates, spreadsheets, and presentation programs
• Experience and demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication
• Ability to prioritize work and meet tight project deadlines
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in live entertainment or entertainment costuming
• Prior experience developing training materials
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Photoshop, and Lightroom
• Experience with graphic design and a strong understanding of design principles
• Familiarity with The Walt Disney Company and its Characters
• Multi-lingual (French, Japanese, Mandarin, Cantonese, or Spanish)

Education

• Currently enrolled as a Junior, Senior, or graduate student
• Major in Digital Media, Theatre, Fashion Design, Costuming, Creative Writing, or Web Design

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates MUST meet all the requirements below:

• Be enrolled in an accredited college/university, taking at least one class at the time of application, OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Possess unrestricted work authorization
• Possess a valid U.S. driver's license and be able to operate a company vehicle
• Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program
• Be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship

The pay rate for this role in Orlando, FL is $22.00 per hour. Select benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, depending on the level and position offered.
