  • Support integration of Allegro automation with external scripts (Python or batch tools)

Secondary Exposure: PCB Layout Support

  • Assist with basic routing and placement tasks
  • Run design rule checks (DRC) and analyze results
  • Support engineering change orders (ECOs)
  • Observe high-speed routing methodologies for Ethernet, PCIe, and DDR interfaces
  • Gain exposure to stack-up design and impedance control principles

Education & Experience

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Coursework in programming (data structures, scripting, or software fundamentals)
  • Strong interest in combining software development with hardware design
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving ability

Knowledge & Skills

  • Exposure to SKILL
  • Familiarity with Cadence Allegro PCB Designer
  • Experience with Python, Tcl, or other scripting languages
  • Participation in robotics, FPGA, PCB, or hardware-related student projects
  • Interest in high-speed networking systems

What You'll Gain

  • Real-world experience developing engineering automation tools
  • Exposure to professional PCB design environments
  • Understanding of high-speed networking hardware platforms
  • Mentorship from senior layout and SI engineers
  • Practical application of programming in hardware development workflows

Ideal Candidate Traits

  • Curious about how tools work under the hood
  • Enjoys building utilities that improve team productivity
  • Detail-oriented and methodical
