Part Time Student Industrial Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a part-time student to join our team as an Industrial Engineer in Waterloo, Iowa. This role offers a chance to gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment while pursuing your degree.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of manufacturing processes.
• Participate in time studies, line balancing, and process improvement initiatives.
• Support the engineering team in data collection and analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production efficiency.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work part-time (up to 20 hours per week) during the academic year.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with simulation software (e.g., Arena, Simio).
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar CAD tools.
