The team focuses on agility, speed and collaboration to deliver exceptional value and customer experience. Work includes planning products and services, sourcing efficiently and ethically, launching new products, delivering solutions on time and exceeding customer expectations for quality, service and support.

The Demand Planning team is critical to the global supply chain. It creates and manages the global demand plan for Motorola Solutions' product portfolio, from two-way radios and network infrastructure to body-worn cameras, video management software and AI-powered analytics. The work requires a strong understanding of market trends, product lifecycles and regional sales forecasts. Demand planning is highly cross-functional, and the team builds a unified demand signal that feeds the company's Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) cycle.

Job Description

The Supply Chain Data Analyst Intern will manage part of a Demand Analyst portfolio, gaining hands-on experience in demand planning. The intern will also run daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting to support the planning organization, and will perform analyses and projects across the broader supply chain organization.

Interns will complete a summer project with a specific deliverable and measurable business benefit. The program concludes with a presentation of the project to MSI executives and senior leaders.

Preferred Skills

• Analytical and Quantitative Skills: Comfortable with numbers, data analysis and statistical concepts. Able to interpret data, identify trends and use them to build forecasts.
• Microsoft Excel: A strong command of Excel is essential, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, SUMIFS, and charts and reports for large datasets.
• Communication: Able to present findings clearly, explain methodology and collaborate with non-technical stakeholders. Written and verbal communication are both critical.
• Attention to Detail: Small errors in large datasets can have a significant impact, so the intern must be meticulous and accurate.
• Problem-Solving: Approaches challenges with a logical, structured mindset, including identifying root causes of forecasting errors and proposing solutions.
• Time Management: Prioritizes work across daily tasks, the summer project and other intern projects.
• Teamwork: Works effectively in a team to make decisions and drive results.
