Micron Hiring Automation Intern

As an Intern - Automation, Operations Improvement in our research and development factory, you will work on projects that further optimize our highly automated factory and improve the efficiency of both team members and processes. This role will provide exposure to massive data sets that will challenge your ability to integrate this data into applications and automation solutions that help our users do their jobs faster, more effectively, and more accurately. This role will provide an excellent opportunity to grow your skills while working on a real-world project.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with various interested parties to identify, clarify, and assemble project requirements
• Review options with the customers to help design the optimal solution
• Identify and document defects and improvements
• Participate with end users in integration and user acceptance testing
• Document technical specifications, test plans, deployment plans, etc.

Qualifications

• Understanding of core database management methods, covering both relational (SQL, Snowflake) and NoSQL (MongoDB) data stores.
• Solid understanding of programming languages such as C#, Perl, Python, VBA (Python preferred).
• Ability to plan, drive, and complete projects effectively.
• Strong proficiency with Excel, Tableau or other data management and visualization software.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with using AI to automate processes, organize data, or create scripts.

Education

Working towards completion of Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
