Vaccine Automation Co-op in West Point, PA

This position reports to vaccine automation management and supports ongoing operational activities. Because the work is closely tied to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) manufacturing, candidates must be ready to follow GMP gowning restrictions for some activities, such as removing jewelry, make-up and false nails.

Under the guidance of department management, the Vaccine Manufacturing Automation Co-op will:

• Complete a range of automation projects supporting vaccine manufacturing at the company's West Point, PA site.
• Use computer simulation to test proposed changes before they are implemented in the manufacturing environment.
• Write new GMP documentation and update existing documents.
• Take part in daily plant operations, including upgrades and maintenance support for manufacturing equipment, and work with production support groups such as technology, quality, planning and validation.
• Build understanding of GMPs, safety and environmental requirements, and gain hands-on experience in equipment operation.
