OJT responsibilities vary by department and are assigned by the department manager. You may also handle additional projects assigned by the department manager or Leadership Development Manager.

Department Description

Our Wealth Management team coordinates the delivery of additional financial services for clients, always keeping their convenience in mind. We also recommend more comprehensive options when clients, their families, or their businesses need specialized expertise.

You'll join a small cohort within our Wealth Management division to gain experience as a Wealth Associate. You'll learn from Wealth Advisors about Wilmington Trust service processes and the products we offer. You'll also develop knowledge of the local market and how it aligns with client needs. Additional responsibilities may include:

  • Assist the Wealth Advisor with operational support, including reporting for planning and investment needs to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Use internal and external resources, such as fiduciary, planning, investment, and banking partners, as well as external accountants and attorneys, to resolve client issues and meet client needs.
  • Prepare targeted prospecting lists and sales support, document the CRM system with prospect and client information, and interact with internal contacts to achieve goals.
  • Develop client meeting materials and prepare annual Relationship Reviews to identify business expansion opportunities, and may present at internal committee meetings.
  • Attend internal meetings to deepen knowledge of investments, core banking, and Trust, and as skills build, attend client meetings and take on more client interaction.
  • Support activities that build external referral networks and represent the firm's expertise in the professional community.
  • Complete data input and reporting accurately and timely for Wealth Management clients.
  • Adhere to compliance and operational risk controls, complete investment-related compliance reviews, and support other compliance needs.
  • Understand and follow the Company's risk and regulatory standards, and escalate risk-related issues to management.
  • Maintain M&T internal control standards and implement audit points as applicable.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned.
