We are looking for a talented and motivated candidate to join the Airframe Design Engineering team, which is responsible for designing aircraft structure. Typical tasks include preparing layout models, creating detail designs, troubleshooting and problem solving, and revising existing designs.

As an intern with Airframe Design Engineering, you will work with Analysts, Material and Process Engineers, Suppliers, Operations, and Test Engineers to develop designs, support production build, and support fielded aircraft.

Basic Qualifications

• Enrolled in a B.S. degree program such as Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or an equivalent field
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Experience with 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD)
• Strong verbal communication and technical writing skills
• Highly competitive and motivated to take ownership of commitments and meet objectives
• Capable of managing complex tasks and driving them to successful outcomes
• Able to work on-site in Stratford, CT
• U.S. Citizen

Desired Skills

• Ability to create designs including dimensioning and tolerancing
• Experience with CAD/PLM software CATIA V5/LCA, CATIA V6/3DX, or similar
• Exposure to Model Based Definition
• Exposure to Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
• Exposure to Statics and Strength of Materials

Pay and Benefits

The full-time salary range for this position is $22.66 to $31.67 per hour. Pay is based on factors such as scope and responsibilities, work experience, education and training, key skills, and market and business considerations.
