Standard Job Description

As part of the Space Software Product Line (SSPL) team, you will play a key role in delivering Space Vehicle (SV) and payload flight software (FSW). The team delivers on-board functionality that is thoroughly tested and flight ready. Support continues past launch, with availability for customers throughout operations and sustainment phases.

Key Responsibilities

As an Early Career Software Engineer within SSPL, you will contribute by:

• Collaborating on the design of code implementations
• Developing and testing software as part of a larger Agile execution team
• Contributing to peer code review and merge approval

Basic Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
• Effective communication for cross-team coordination

Desired Skills

• Proficiency in the C++ programming language
• Demonstrated experience with Linux operating systems
• Experience working in an Agile environment

For Washington state applicants only: non-represented full-time employees accrue at least 10 hours per month of PTO and receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full-time employees accrue 6.67 hours of vacation per month, up to 52 hours of sick leave annually, and at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
